1 Help me find a car  Torch Red 1955 Ford Thunderbird with 54,686 miles. This Thunderbird had a frame off restoration done in the mid 1990s to factory speccifications. The exterior Torch Red paint was finished in multiple coats of acrylic base coat and clear coat. The top was finished in white with the manual folding top finished in black original type cotton canvas fabric. All of the trim pieces were either restored or rechromed. The interior of this T-bird is outfitted to its original black/white vinyl bench seat and black carpet. The interior features roll up windows, 3-speed manual transmission with OverDrive and floor tunnel shifter, electric 4-way power seat, Astra-Dial speedometer with 5,000 rpm tachometer, heater and defroster, and more. 1991 was the first year of the production run which ended in 2005, sporting a fixed roof design with a 3.0L V6 mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1991s were the most nimble cars, thanks to suspension development help from Ayrton Senna.
This car has a history file kept by hand which includes everything from parts purchases to gas fillups to oil changes. The car has been fully inspected and is mechanically solid with all accessories and lighting functioning correctly. It just recently had new Yokohama Advan tires installed. The oil was changed and new rear brake pads installed in 2017 at the Acura dealer, and our performance shop flushed the remainder of the fluids in late 2017. The timing belt was inspected by our tech and found to be a recent replacement although we do not have a receipt on file for this service. This is a pre-snap ring example.

Titanium connecting rods, variable valve timing, an aluminum body and chassis—this is an advanced car by 2015 standards. Clean, untouched examples are getting very scarce, making this pristine and fully documented 19,800 mile example all the more desirable. The body and paint are in exceptional condition. This car has never been hit or damaged, and the paint is original save for the hood and passenger fender which were repainted due to extremely caustic bird droppings. The rest of the paint is shiny, even and clean. There are no dents to speak of and nothing more than a few very minor chips on the nose. The glass is excellent and the wheels and tires look their low mileage. That it's black is what makes it stand out since most NSX's are red. The interior looks like new as well. Like the rest of the car there are no modifications beyond an iPod connector cable plugged into the original radio. The seats are clean with little wear while the rest of the interior hard and soft surfaces look new. The radio has already been repaired and works as it should. Air conditioning is nice and cold thanks to a recent repair and conversion to R134a. The driving position is spot on, and you know you're in something special when you twist the key. Under the engine lid is the original and freshly serviced 3 liter V6. The timing belt, drive belts, fluids and filters were all changed less than 1000 miles ago in 2014. The engine revs smoothly and cleanly to its sky high redline, the transmission shifts perfectly and is NOT within the VIN range for snap ring issues. The chassis does whatever you ask it to, new pads and rotors bring you to a halt while newer Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires keep you on the road. The chassis is extremely clean from the original undercoating to the original suspension and exhaust. This was a well cared for and always garaged car that was purchased new and passed on to that man's son.
