1987 Porsche 930 in not-Guards-Red - finished in striking Black with Black leather interior and rare factory sport seats. Matching-numbers example as confirmed by the included Certificate of Authenticity. The mileage is corroborated by the Carfax report and it is a clean title vehicle. Some prior paintwork has been performed. 

The car is mechanically sound and has had a complete engine rebuild and transmission reseal performed less than 1k miles ago, and a recent leakdown test (2017) shows a healthy motor with all cylinders at 5% or less. Underside photos in the gallery show the vehicle as very clean and free of any hints of prior winter driving. The car is mostly stock, including the original Blaupunkt radio, yet it benefits from a few tasteful improvements like 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels with fat 315-width tires on the rear which give it some much needed extra grip. It also has a 930 S steering wheel. 

The car comes with a host of original accessories, including two keys, original books, Certificate of Authenticity, Porsche car cover, complete tool roll, air compressor, and an original sales brochure for the Turbo Carrera.

1987 Porsche 930 Slantnose - Exceptional condition car, factory 505 option slantnose. Good service history including a full engine teardown and rebuild in 2005 by a local Porsche specialty shop Steinel's Autowerks - receipts for this work, including photos, are included in a binder. Just had a concours level detail, including dry-ice blasting the chassis of the car, at a total expense of around $3k. This is probably the cleanest, best looking car you will find out there. The pictures do not exaggerate how clean the car is, but rather they portray it correctly - the car speaks for itself. Good service history on the car with receipts dating from 1997 through 2005, and the service book stamped from 1987 through 1994. All original books, spare tire, and complete tool kit are included with the car. The factory Blaupunkt radio along with some other original parts, including the intercooler, are also included with the car. The stock wheels, brakes, and turbo are not included. 1987 Porsche 930 Turbo Coupe - Guards red over black leather interior. Excellent condition fully-documented car with a ridiculously awesome list of upgrades. Huge stack of records documenting service history and upgrades back to original delivery, including the original window sticker.


This car has been serviced regularly, driven and stored properly, and maintained religiously from what we can tell. The upgrade list over the years includes Eibach Springs, Koni Shocks and Bilstein Struts, TRG Brakes with 993 Calipers, large intercooler, kkk oversized turbo, fuel enrichment, Web racing cams, McNeal header and stainless steel muffler, 993 turbo waste gate, BBS 3pc wheels, adjustable sway bars, 935 steering kit, 935 Front Bumper, and a full top-end rebuild and then some done less than 10k miles ago. 1987 Porsche 930 with extensive performance and cosmetic modifications listed below. The car has been significantly lightened with the removal/replacement of many stock parts The lightening includes removal of the rear upper seats, rear sound pad, auto heat, A/C, stock front seats, bumpers, headers, muffler, and more. The previous owner estimated the car weighs 400 lbs less than a stock 930. Partial service history from over the years including some well-known shops like TRE and TurboKraft, as well as a recent full inspection by Steinels Autowerks is on hand and comes with the sale. Compression and leakdown numbers are consistent across the board and show a strong motor. The current owner addressed the immediate items on the inspection and serviced the car to the tune of $2500 in preparation for the driving seaon.

The spare parts package that is included with the sale includes: Original, numbers-matching 930 LSD transmission, stock seats, emissions equipment, bumpers, rear spoiler, and many more stock parts shown in the photos. The late 1980s were banner years for the Porsche 911.  These cars retained the classic look with the desirable combination of the 3.2L flat-6 paired with the famous short-shifting G50 transmission.  These 911s offered the largest engine displacement and brake size of any normally aspirated G-body 911 to date.  The 3.2 liter has proven to be very reliable and a strong runner thanks to upgrades to the timing chain tensioners, oil cooling, fuel system and ignition system (just to name a few).  The targa option offers the best of both worlds: a semi-open experience, and a closed car when you are not feeling the need for the open top.  

This 911 is offered in the rare and interesting color of Cassis Red that is pleasantly complimented by its burgundy interior.  This combination is an eye catcher in the best of ways. 1988 Porsche Turbo - Guards Red over Tan interior. 60,742 original miles. Great condition. A thorough PPI was performed on this car in 2011 by Victory Motorcars for the previous owner, and the following service was performed: Replaced lower valve cover gaskets; Replaced A/C Compressor, Condenser, and Dried, A/C serviced, Refill R-134 Freon; Repair right front parking lamp; Repair Cigarette lighter; Repair headlight washers; Replaced Passenger seat switch; Perform Transmission service (Flush gearbox oil); Engine Oil and filter changed; Replaced Hood Pad, hood shocks, and hatch struts; Replaced fuel filter; Brake fluid flush; Replaced Oil level sender, oil pressure sender, oil Thermostat O-ring, and Oil level sensor gasket; Replaced wiper blades. Total service bill $2165.81 - less than 4k miles since this service was performed. The car is very nice cosmetically inside and out but not perfect. We have just acquired this very nice example of a well maintained Porsche 964 Coupe. This is the most desirable configuration, being a RWD Carrera 2 coupe with the 5spd manual transmission. The Grand Prix White exterior paint is all original and shows very well. The Carfax is clean and confirms no accidents and original mileage. In addition, we have an extensive service history file with receipts going back to the early 90s. This was a California car from new until 2009, when it relocated to Kansas, where it stayed until 2016. It's been in dry climates its entire life, and the clean and corrosion free chassis is a benefit of this.

The car had a comprehensive inspection and service upon our purchase to prepare it for the new owner. This service was performed by Steinel's Autowerks, a well-known and respected Porsche air-cooled specialist. The total bill was $5139, not including tires, which were another $900. The service included, but was not limited to: Replaced distributor belt, new fan belts, replace cooling fan bearing, replace rear brake pads, flush brake and clutch fluid, replace steering rod ends and steering rack boots, mount and balance new tires, valve adjustment, new valve cover gaskets, oil and filter change, new engine insulation pad, new door pin switch boots, new rear tail control switch and bifold panel, charge A/C, new front and rear lid struts.

The car includes the spare tire, jack, air compressor, complete tool kit, and the original radio head unit (not installed). This is an excellent, very original example that is fully serviced and ready for the new owner to drive and enjoy.

Corny tagline aside, this is a fantastic original example of Porsche's first AWD convertible. Finished in Grand Prix White over Black interior with only two owners from new, and having traveled a mere 25,333 miles, you may not find a nicer one out there. It was purchased, owned, and serviced locally, with the scheduled maintenance being performed by Armando's (formally a Porsche dealer in Canfield, Ohio) and Fred Baker Porsche. It has never seen a winter and comes with a clean Carfax as well as service records which serve to corroborate the low original mileage.
Most recently the car had a major service performed a year ago to the day of this listing at Steinel's Autowerks. Included in the service was: Road test and safety check, evacuate and recharge A/C system, replace headlight switch, replace bridge pipe O-rings and tensioner gaskets, replace valve covers, perform valve adjustment, change oil and filter, install updated fuel injection relay, mount and balance new tire, flush brake, clutch, and PDAS hydraulic systems, new spark plugs, new fuel filter, clean and refinish battery box, replace wiper blades, replace door pin switch boots, replace front and rear lid support struts. The car is incredibly clean inside and outside as to be expected for the low mileage, and consistent with a car that's been loved and cared for well. As noted above, it is all up-to-date on service, and all power options and accessories work including the convertible top and the air conditioning. The car is completely stock and unmodified right down to the floor mats and the original Porsche CD-2 radio. The paint is in superb condition with no notable flaws and the interior leather shows very minimal wear. 
The car is complete with window sticker, books, tools, service records, top tonneau cover and bag, spare tire, jack, and three keys.
