1979 Porsche 930 Coupe - 3.3L 911 Turbo. Note: This car has had a lot of work done to it recently, including a full engine and gearbox teardown, and full repaint in original color. Details are below. That being said, it is not a perfect car, and still needs some minor sorting; details also below. It is a great driver and the paint job looks fantastic, but it is not up to the usual caliber of the cars we offer. That being said, we believe we have priced it accurately as a non-original driver-quality car, as an all-original 19k mile documented early 930 will run at least double this in the current market. Upgrades include Fabspeed exhaust, intake, headers, and blow-off valve. Car is purported to have 400hp. Mileage on odometer is not documented, and while the title shows actual mileage, we cannot confirm that the mileage is original, as there is no supporting documentation.

This car comes with extensive documentation, all the way back to the original purchase agreement. It was purchased new from Meister Porsche on December 6th, 1984. The original owner kept and maintained the car until September 21, 2000, when it was sold to the second owner. We purchased the car from a local client who is a Porsche fanatic, collector, and concours judge. As you can imagine, it was exceptionally clean. As far as we can tell he was the third owner since new. The Toyo Proxes tires are very recent, and the cam timing belt and countershaft belt were replaced in 2009. The car also had a full service in 2010 at Autobahn Extremist, including a new power steering update hose, distributor cap, ignition rotor, spark plugs, alternator and a/c belt, and power steering belt. This seriously is the most well documented, cleanest 944 I've ever seen. Original manuals, including a stamped maintenance booklet, and original tool kit and air compressor included with the car, as well as all service records.

This 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo is a modified example fitted with a K27 Turbocharger, Lindsey Racing oil pan baffle, cat-delete exhaust, and an upgraded water pump. The car is finished in Graphite Metallic over Burgundy partial leather, and is not equipped with a sunroof. Service records are included back to 2011, and the last service included a new coolant hose, coolant flush, and new rear tires. Other recent services include new cam seals, DME relay, and a rebuilt alternator fitted in 2017, and a new head gasket fitted in 2015.
The car was repainted in the original color in 2013. 8inch width Phonedial alloys with 245/45 Bridgestone RE-11 tires are fitted at all four corners, eliminating the factory staggered setup in favor of a square fitment. The rear tires were replaced recently.
The interior has been modified with a Momo Monte Carlo steering wheel and an aftermarket radio. The upholstery is Burgundy partial leather, with leather faced front seats and vinyl rear seats. All interior features function properly and the A/C blows cold.

*SALE PENDING* Now available is this exceptional condition 1986 Porsche 944 with only 65,761 miles. Recently serviced 4-cylinder fuel injected 2.5L engine paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and RWD. This 944 is finished in Guards Red over partial Black leather, both in great condition. This car has a nice list of factory options which include 15-inch forged alloy wheels, front and rear stabilizers, 4-spoke sport steering wheel, cruise control, electric sunroof, and partial leather seats.
The exterior paint is in great condition with no major imperfections. The interior is also in great condition and shows almost no wear. This vehicle has spent its entire life here in Ohio and has never seen a winter from what we can tell. Clean Carfax with no signs of paintwork. It has been very well maintained with stacks of records dating back to 1993. In 2018 the car received the timing belt replacement with minimal mileage accrused since. In 2021 the car received another significant amount of servicing. This 944 is a very nice example; these are getting hard to find. The vehicle comes with the original window sticker, maintenance record book, car cover, original tool kit, air pump, and two keys.

Price: SOLD

Very clean and very original example!
We bought the car from the long-term second owner, who bought the car from Motorcars Imports out of Bedford, Ohio in 1991 (note the Motorcars decal still in place on the rear valence). He was an ASE Master mechanic and did all maintenance himself. As a result, we do not have a stack of records that is commensurate with cars serviced at a dealer, but the condition of the car speaks for itself. In 2012 he did a full service including water pump and timing belt, and he documented that service with extensive photographs, as well as parts receipts. He even kept all the old parts in a box.
This guy truly loved the car, and it's obvious. The car is all original paint as verified with a paintmeter, the ONLY exception being the front bumper and panel between the headlights, which is notorious on the 944 for attracting stone chips. It has never seen salty roads, winter, and probably never seen rain during his ownership, as he was fanatical.
This car is very, very original, and is complete with two keys with factory leather pouches, the original option code sticker in the trunk, cargo covers, spare tire, jack, air compressor, complete tool kit and tool roll, and factory manuals with the maintenance book stamped properly.
There are only a few minor modifications to the car, all done by the previous owner and noted in photos. He installed Boston Acoustic speakers in the front doors, as well as speakers in the rear trunk. Original Blaupunkt Monterey head unit was retained. He also hardwired a radar system that is of course now outdated, but the level of craftsmanship is incredible. He installed mini toggle switches in the driver's air vent, perfectly hidden, and small warning lights in the gauge cluster.
Condition is excellent inside and out and underneath, as you can see in the photos. There are no cracks in the leather seats or in the dash. There is zero delamination on the rear window. None. The original calipers still have a good finish in the paint and lettering. All glass is original. The windshield could stand to be replaced if the new owner likes - there was a couple small cracks on the passenger side that the owner drilled and filled himself - the fix is proper but it of course doesn't look exceptionally pretty.
The paint is very clean with only a few minor flaws that are pretty hard to find. New underhood insulation and OEM stone guards have just been installed. Overall, this is a car that stands above the rest in both condition and originality, and will please the most discriminating buyer.

Guards Red/Black, Excellent mechanical condition with a comprehensive major service just performed. This is a nice driver quality car that has had one repaint in the original Guards Red. It comes with almost all the accessories, including the books and a fully stamped service manual, which, combined with the paper receipts, shows a maintenance and ownership trail back to new, the spare tire, jack, and complete toolkit. It is missing the factory air compressor but it does have an aftermarket unit. It also has expensive Porsche floor mats and trunk mat.
The car is fundamentally stock and original specification. We replaced the heavy forged wheels that were optional equipment with a set of factory 'phone dial' wheels, but we went with 8-inch wheels all around to give the car a little more aggressive stance and sharper handling. It still has the original Blaupunkt head unit and speakers. We installed a new center console armrest and hinge as well, to replace the almost-always-broken original one. While the car's cosmetic quality is on the driver level, given the exterior repaint and that the seats have a couple split seams which need to be corrected, we had the car completely serviced by Steinel's Autowerks when we bought it, to the tune of $6727.

The service performed was as follows:
Perform safety check, inspect steering, suspension, brakes, tires, etc.
Original oil cooler housing seals: Remove cooler housing, replace transfer pipe, install updated O-rings and gasket. Clean and reseal pressure relief valve. Replace oil pressure sender. Replace front brake flex hoses, bleed brake and clutch systems, Replace fuel hose to/from rail. Replace 3rd brake light bulb. Replace right front inner sway bar bushing. R&R Speed and reference sensors and bracket. R&R starter, verify no binding while cranking. Replace blown fuses in board. Remove exhaust studs and manifold assemblies - located leak under heat shield for 2/3 manifold. Install good condition used manifold with heat shield. Refit exhaust and verify leak is gone.

Water Pump & Belts: Drain coolant, disassemble front of motor, inspect rollers and pulleys. Replace water pump, all belts, hoses as needed. Install new thermostat. Replace cam & balance Shaft belt. Replace noisy rollers/tensioners as needed. Fill and bleed cooling system.

Oil leak: Perform front reseal while apart. Replace crankshaft and balancer seals.

Check tuning: Replace spark plugs and plug wires, replace air filter and pop off valve. Adjust base idle.
Service: Change oil in transmission. Adjust front wheel bearings, mount & balance new tires. Replace wiper blades. Change motor oil and filter.

A/C service: drain system, replace compressor and receiver dryer, charge system and check for leaks.
----------
As you can see we addressed everything that this car needed - it is a fully serviced car that's ready to drive and enjoy. All power options work great, A/C blows cold, and the car drives beautifully.

This is an excellent example with complete documentation back to new, including original sales documents, comprehensive service history, and the original window sticker. The car was serviced religiously, and it is complete with spare tire, tool kit, jack, air compressor, and original option code sticker in the rear trunk. It is fundamentally stock with a few minor adds, including a fire extinguisher, a battery tender, an upgraded audio system, and newer Porsche wheels.

The Cam and Balance belts were replaced at 66k miles in 2011, and a water pump was done just prior to that. The car has had multiple services since then. We purchase the car directly from the previous owner, and we did the following service:
Brand new tires mounted and balanced
New motor mounts
New turbo recirculation valve
New oil filter housing shield
Replace left inner C/V boot
A/C service: Replace climate control rod clip and lock, replace O-rings at a/c compressor hose plate, recharge system.

The car is completely serviced and needs nothing to go enjoy.

Condition is very good, inside and out. The paint and leather are in very good condition for the mileage. There are a couple small nicks on the front fenders - both were a small paintless dent that was removed but left a small crack in the paint. The paint is largely original and retains all the original VIN tags except for the driver's rear fender which a paintmeter shows to have been repaired and painted at some point. The Carfax is clean and the car is accident-free. All books and records come with the car.

The original window sticker shows the following factory options:
Guards Red
Partial Leather Front - Black
Radio Charleston
Body Side Molding
Automatic Speed Control
Removable Sunroof w/Electric Tilt
