Vehicle Description
1986 Porsche 3.2 911 Carrera Coupe - Paint-to-sample Metallic Gray with Leather-to-sample light Gray interior. The car is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, having received regular service and repairs over the years. The original service book is stamped with the first dealer services, and we have the original records from 1996 through present day. The car was delivered on June 29, 1985 through Auto Werks of Rockford, Illinois. It has spent its entire life in the Midwest, moving from there to Indiana, and then to Michigan, and now with us in Ohio. The exterior is a gorgeous metallic dark grey paint to sample, allegedly done to match the original owner’s Armani suit. Not only did he do the exterior, but the interior is all leather to sample to match his shoes, done in a light grey. The photo shows the original leather-to-sample spec card from the factory which is included in the paperwork. The interior leather is in overall excellent condition. The full leather interior is a bonus, but as Porschephiles well know, the leather dashboard is susceptible to shrinkage, and this one was replaced in 2004. The original one was light gray, but the owner in 2004 smartly put in a black upper dashboard, as driving a car with a light color dash in the sunlight is annoying due to the reflection. The stereo head unit and front door speakers are aftermarket pieces. The only real pick with the interior, as noted in photos, is the tear in the piping on the driver’s seat bolster. New Michelin tires were installed in 2011, and a full service was done in 2012, including new front brake pads, rotors, and calipers, a/c system recharged, new spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and all fluids changed. The a/c system has been retrofitted for R134A refrigerant. The CofA verifies that this is a matching numbers car, and specifies the factory options as follows: US Emission Dunlop Tires Radio Monterey Forged Alloy Wheels Full Power Seat – Passenger’s Side Cruise Control Front and Rear Spoilers Sport Shock Absorbers Alarm System Electric Sliding Sunroof The car has a B&B exhaust system, which gives it a MUCH nicer sound over the almost-bland factory exhaust note. Included in the setup is the 12” O2 sensor kit, oil line conversion, header w/heat shield, and muffler. Stock exhaust not included. NOTE: This car with the current setup will not pass smog testing, as the cat has been removed. The car has two keys, all books, comprehensive service file dating back to 1996, complete tool kit, spare tire, and jack. www.switchcars.com
