Vehicle Description
This is a 1972 Porsche 911 originally delivered to a US Serviceman in Germany who brought it home with him. The second owner commissioned the build in the late 1990s to make a 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS style tribute. He began with a beautiful condition, rust-free car. All NOS body parts were used including steel front flared fenders, steel rear RS flares, steel rear bumper, and fiberglass front bumper and ducktail, and famed Stoddard Imports performed the restoration. The car was repainted in its original Light Yellow color, and it still shows incredibly well today, as if the restoration was completed recently, which shows the absolute top quality work which is done by Stoddard.

The original case was retained and the jugs and pistons were swapped out for 2.4L 911 S cylinders with 2.2L E-spec pistons for maximum compression (approximately 9.8:1). SSI heat exchangers, a high-torque starter, freshly-tuned carbs, custom ground cams and crank, and an electronic MSD ignition complete the package. 911 S front brakes were installed along with 930 tie rods.

The 13,253 miles shown on the odometer is claimed to be original, and will be sold with an Actual Mileage title and Odometer Disclosure.

The interior was redone with ST-style seats, RS door cards, and radio delete, retaining the original dashboard and steering wheel.

We commissioned a complete engine rebuild and transmission refresh prior to sale, in addition to the wiring being gone through. The car has completed its full break-in period post engine rebuild and had the 1k service done including oil change and valve adjustment. It is ready for the new owner to enjoy to the fullest.
This is probably the most original car ever used as a basis for an RS tribute, and while not an exact replica, it is a very well done hot rod and an absolute blast to drive at a fraction of the cost of a real 2.7 RS.
