Vehicle Description
Did you know that Carrara White was not originally offered as an available color for the 997 GT3 RS? That's right, the color used for the marketing materials on the GT3, and the standard color for the GT3 Cup cars, was NOT an option for the RS.
However, because of so many requests from Porsche clientele, Porsche generously agreed to offer the color as an option, but for an eye-popping $4315! That's right, Porsche did RS buyers a huge favor by allowing them to order a color that was FREE on the base 911, FREE on the GT3, and STANDARD on the race cars, and only charging them $4300. To top it off, White was the only color that did not come standard with contrasting wheels and graphics, but those had to be ordered separately.

Now that we have that out of the way, here is an offering on one of the 46 cars ordered for North America in Carrara White with no graphics. It is available now with just over 3100 original miles. We initially acquired the car this summer in a fluke find on eBay, and honestly thought that we might be getting scammed, but everything checked out in our database.
When the car showed up, it wasn't quite as represented cosmetically, but that was easily remedied with refinishing the front bumper cover, wheels, and replacing the plastic front spoiler lip and side skirts, and of course doing a comprehensive detailing, as it had been in long-term storage. Sometimes being parked is worse for cars than driving them - we'll just call this a "barn find", and then it will be worth more. The car, apart from sitting undriven for many years, was properly maintained, and received a full major service and new TPMS sensors in 2013 as well as a 2-year service in 2018, with less than 400 miles in between the two visits to the dealer.
The interior is very clean, but as with all Porsches of this vintage with carbon fiber interior pieces, they are starting to warp and pull away in the usual places. Porsche completely missed the mark on their carbon trim of this era.

It is all original paint on the metal panels, and it has a perfect DME report with zero overrevs.
It comes with two keys, books, and service records.
