Up for sale is a 1973 E-Type 2+2 V12 Series 3. This car has great history and documentation, and has only 625 actual miles since new. The original owner of this car was James Patin of Anaheim, California. He was an avid collector, owning over 150 cars in his lifetime. The purchase of this Jaguar came about through a horse-trade with Bill Harrah of Las Vegas casino fame, who wanted a 1922 Leach Touring for his collection, which Mr Patin happened to own. Mr Patin agreed to the sale in exchange for cash and the purchase of a brand new 1973 Jaguar V12 XKE, which Mr Harrah arranged through Brentwood Motors in Santa Monica in December of 1973. This car had 99 miles on the odometer at time of delivery. Mr Patin picked up the car, showed it to some friends, and then parked it in his collection with 162 miles on the clock. It resided there until 2002, when Glenn Bowers purchased the car from Mr Patin. Since the Jag had not been started since 1973, Mr Bowers removed the fuel tank and had it boiled out and coated inside, along with removing all four carbs and cleaning the float bowls, needles, and seats. Once re-installed, the car fired easily and idled smoothly. The car was 100% as it had been left in 1973, exactly 30 years prior. Mr Bowers only put five miles on the car, since it had the original tires on it. He then sold the car to the current owner in May of 2007. A Jaguar specialty shop performed some necessary work on the vehicle before it was shipped to Pennsylvania, where it was housed in a climate-controlled garage and driven sparingly. He then had the car shipped to his California home in 2012 with only 213 miles on the clock. The Jag then had an extensive service by Hornburg Jaguar, including a complete ignition system overhaul, carbs rebuilt, a new clutch, and new ball joints. The total bill was just over $18,000. The owner wanted to actually drive and enjoy the car in California, and once the work was completed it was ready to enjoy. The car currently has 625 miles on the odometer. We just received this 2012 Aventador. It is black/black, and looks absolutely sinister in this configuration. To our knowledge it is all original with no modifications. It is out of an estate so unfortunately it only comes with one key and the service records were lost. However, we just had the car serviced, the ECU replaced, and all recalls performed at the Lamborghini dealer, and we also had our local independent tech perform the 2-year service including oil/filter change, coolant flush, and brake flush. The shocks have been inspected and there are no visual leaks. In the inspection it was noted that the rear-view camera does not operate, and the TPMS light is on indicating the tire pressure sensor batteries are dead. The front tires were replaced in 2016, and the rear tires, while showing full tread, are dated out and due for replacement. The interior is very clean, it was a non-smoker car, the wheels are free of any curb rash, and the exterior paint has been professionally detailed and polished to prepare it for the new ownerto enjoy. Competitively priced.

The Murcielago was the first new model from Lamborghini after being acquired by Audi in 1998, and it was a radical design in keeping with Lamborghini tradition. The first two years were only offered with the true gated manual gearbox, with the E-gear flappy-paddle being introduced in 2004. The manuals have since become incredibly desirable and collectable as a true driver's experience. The Murcielagos themselves are incredibly reliable, which is a nice departure from the older Lamborghini reputation, and they are very easy cars to drive and use on a regular basis, the lack of rearward visibility notwithstanding.

This particular example was owned and serviced locally since 2012, and it has Forgiato wheels, an Alpine sound system, and LP640-style front bumper and side skirts. It has a clean Carfax, and has just under 32k miles on the clock. The car is mechanically very sound, it runs and drives beautifully, and displays no warning lights on the dash. It is due for its two year service currently, as the car came from an estate recently. The interior is very clean for the age and it was a non-smoker car. The exterior paint does show some clearcoat micro-bubbles and other paint flaws as noted in the photos. The car comes with one key. Buyers are welcome to have a PPI performed. Interested?
