1999 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe #35 of 45 examples modified by Mallett Cars, with just over 18k miles. This C5 is powered by a modified 6.1L V8 LS1 engine, with a 6-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential and a 3.73:1 final drive. The Mallette 435 takes the stock horsepower of 345 and bumps it up to 435hp, while also increasing the stock 350 Ib-ft of torque to 450 Ib-ft. The car is finished in Black over Black leather upholstery and features a removable roof. This Corvette has been modified with an intake manifold from Wilson Manifolds, a Mallett camshaft, forged pistons, and a billet crankshaft and connecting rods. In addition to the engine modifications, Mallett also installed forged 18″ Fikse wheels, Penske/Mallett adjustable shocks, Wilwood multi-piston front and rear brake calipers, Z51-specification springs, a Donaldson air-intake system and a 2.75″ dual exhaust system with long-tube headers and high-flow catalytic converters. The interior features power-adjustable sport seats, a Mallett harness bar with Simpson five-point racing harnesses and memory package.

This C5 Corvette has all original paint, which is in excellent condition, with the exception of a couple of small paint chips. The interior is beautiful with no wear on the seats or steering wheel. The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage.

1999 Mallett 435 Corvette - #15 of 45.
This car is a wonderful product of the american tuning wars between Chuck Mallett, John Lingenfelter, John Hennessey, and Reeves Callaway, and was produced right here in Northeast Ohio. Chuck and Mallett Cars has an extensive background in Chevrolet tuning and racing. In the mid 1980s, Mallett Incorporated became actively involved in professional racing as paid consultants for the Chevrolet racing division, and competed in the Corvette Challenge series. In the 1990s, Mallett Motorsports was created to service clients from the Trans-Am and World Challenge Series, as well as NASCAR and Winston Cup Championship events. Mallett Motorsports became well-regarded for their expertise in chassis design and tuning, and the construction of vehicles which will not only survive, but win legendary endurance events such as the Daytona 24-Hour endurance race, the 12 Hours of Sebring, the 24 Hours of Mosport, and the 24 Hours of Mid-Ohio.

This is an exceptionally clean and low mileage Mallett 435hp Corvette. We have a stack of documentation which includes the original sales invoice, original window sticker, all Mallett receipts and the Mallett window stickers, and all service records. Additionally, it is registered with the Corvette Museum as noted by the plaque on the a-pillars. It is spectacularly clean top to bottom, inside and out, and is up-to-date on service and ready for the next collector or driver owner to enjoy.

The first owner took delivery through Jack Sullivan Chevrolet on Nov 12, 1998, and had the dealer install the C5 door sills. He almost immediately sent the car to Chuck Mallett, and had the 396hp conversion started on Dec 31, 1998, for a total of $19,420.00.
In the summer of 2000, he had Tom Henry Chevrolet install a Corsa exhaust and the 1-4 skip-shift eliminator.
Apparently 396hp wasn't enough for him, so in Mar of 2001, with 8800 miles on the car, he sent it back to Mallett to upgrade to the 435hp package, at an additional cost of $30,447.74!
This car was traded in to Bobby Rahal Automotive in 2004 with just over 14k miles, and purchased by the most recent owner who kept it in his care until trading it on a C7 Corvette. He drove it extremely sparingly, as it now just has 14,700 miles. We had our preferred shop go over the car and service it to make sure it is ready to party for the new owner.

I purchased the car in 2010 with 22k miles on it, and it was the cleanest example (that wasn't red or yellow) that I could find at the time. This was my personal car and summer daily driver. It was stored in the winter and to this day has not seen salt or been driven in the winter. I sold it to a client of mine with about 59k miles when I found my unicorn - a Light Carmine Red 1998 Lingenfelter 383 convertible. He trades cars often so I got the car back with a few thousand more miles. I then sold it to a good friend and racing teammate. He put brand new Continental Extreme DW tires on the car and also installed an AUX cable so his phone could be used with the factory stereo system, drove it for a season, and then traded it back in to purchase an E39 M5. I then sold it to a new client in PA who kept the car for about two years and 15k miles. He kept up with all the maintenance and recently installed Z06 shocks and front calipers. 
The car is in excellent condition and ready for a new owner to enjoy. Small flaws consistent with normal wear can be found, but overall the car is very clean. The driver's bolster is in excellent condition, there are no rips or tears in the interior, and only a couple minor marks on the exterior paint. The glass top is showing delamination/spidering. The car is solid and tight, and all service and preventive maintenance has been performed, including replacing the belts, tensioner pulleys and idler pulleys at 52k miles (these typically go bad at around 55-60k miles).
