The Panoz AIV Roadster is an all-american lightweight roadster with European roots. The Panoz family purchased the rights to a defunct sportscar manufacturer in the late 1980s, and after much retooling and essentially a start-from-scratch redesign, the Panoz Roadster was born. The first iteration was stainless steel and utilized a 5.0L Ford V8 and did not come with any top, radio, heater, or air conditioning. In 1996, the AIV, which stands for Aluminum Intensive Vehicle, was born. It used largely the same styling as the first-gen roadster, but the car was now 70% aluminum, weighing in at only 2500 pounds, and a new 4.6L 32-valve aluminum V8 from the Mustang Cobra was shoehorned in, bumping the power up to 305bhp. Additionally, they created a surprisingly easy-to-install top with side curtain windows, plus luxury amenities like a radio, heat, and air conditioning. They were hand assembled in Braselton, Georgia, and to this day remain as one of the most unique American cars ever produced. A total of 176 AIV Roadsters were sold to the public during the 3.5-year production run. Unlike most limited production hand-built sports cars, these are actually incredibly reliable, simple to maintain, and are very pleasant to drive. Parts are easy to source given that it is mostly Ford components. Many critics of the Plymouth Prowler say that this is what the Prowler should have been.

This particular Roadster is finished in a gorgeous shade of Maroon metallic with black interior. The color is a deep, dark burgundy and almost looks purple depending on the light. According to our database, out of the 176 AIV Roadsters, only four were finished in this color and all of them were 1998s. There was another one listed as Maroon produced in 1999, but it is a very different shade with more of a copper/orange tint.

Owner's manual, two keys, fabric top, and Panoz leather storage case for the top components are all included with the sale. The top and top components are all in excellent shape and fit properly. It is original paint and has a clean Carfax and no stories. The car came out of long term storage, so we inspected the car fully and performed our usual service and refreshing. We mounted new Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2 tires, repaired the odometer, changed oil/filter, brake fluid flush, charged A/C system, replaced radiator and associated hoses, new idler pulley and serpentine belt, and new stainless brake lines. In addition, we removed the awful black "elephant ears" stone guards on the rear fenders and installed Xpel paint protection flim, which gives these cars a much cleaner and more modern look.

This is an incredibly rare and timeless car, and it is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner.

This particular Roadster is finished in Silver/Black, and as with all 1998s, has the Roush 5-spoke wheels. According to our database this is one of just 22 cars finished in silver during the three-year production run. The previous owner had it regularly serviced by Davie Motorsports in FL and had all fluids changed and new tires installed during his ownership. The tires are Bridgestone Potenzas date coded 2015 with full tread. After our purchase, we went through the car as we do with all Panoz Roadsters, ensuring functionality of all accessories and checking mechanical condition. We changed the oil and filter along with the serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulley, and repaired the odometer (the plastic gears in these odometers are a known weak point - 3/4 of the Panoz we've had through our shop have needed repair). We also replaced the power steering pump and rebuilt the differential. The car checked out with a clean bill of health. We removed the dated and ugly elephant-ear black rock guards on the rear fenders and had clear PPF installed after refinishing. We've done this to all the Panoz that have come through our shop as it provides better protection against stone chips and it helps to accentuate the car's shape and make it more visually appealing with a more modern look.

This Panoz is all stock besides an aluminum e-brake handle, Kenwood stereo head unit, and upgraded speakers. The original parts are boxed up and included. It is also complete with all accessories: Two keys, owner's manual, Panoz-branded top with bag, Roush tool kit with Roush silver coin, convertible top and side windows with all hardware and leather Panoz-branded bag, and a rare tonneau cover for the cabin.

This is an impresssively clean, no-excuses example that is ready to enjoy.

All books, two keys, Panoz car cover, and Panoz leather storage case for the top components are all included with the sale. The top and top components are all in excellent shape and fit properly. According to our database, the red examples make up about 23% of overall production, but it is unknown the split between black and tan interior.

Our example is in fantastic condition, fully serviced, with all accessories and a fresh detail. It is ready for the new owner to enjoy.

This particular example was originally sourced for the owner's personal collection, but due to lack of time to actually drive it, we are putting it up for sale. It is finished in rare and beautiful metallic green, which appears blue from some angles - it is a subtle color-shift metallic. The paint is all original to our knowledge except for the rear fenders which we had refinished to eliminate the rock chips. Instead of replacing the ugly black elephant-ear stone guards we had the rear fenders covered in clear film, after allowing the paint to cure for the requisite 30 days to fully harden.

The previous owner had the odometer fail at around 3250 miles, and for some reason replaced it with a unit that read 2455 miles, thereby branding the title as non-actual mileage. The reasoning escapes me, but we have the documentation of continual mileage, and the cumulative total mileage is less than 4000.

We have full service records from the previous owner, and we also had it gone through once we bought it to ensure fluids were up to date, to fix a minor oil leak, and service the air conditioning. All functions work properly and the car is fully serviced and ready for the next owner to enjoy. The car comes with the factory soft top and leather bag, Panoz branded floor mats plus the base floor mats, one key, and the owner's manual booklet.

Check out this iconic Mopar! Released in 1997 to rave reviews, the Prowler was sold out and on a waiting list status. In 1997 purple was the only available color, and for 1999, the second year of production, Plymouth offered additional colors including Yellow, which was the rarest of the standard Plymouth colors (Red, Yellow, Black, Purple, Silver). In addition, they bumped the power from 214hp to 243hp, and added other improvements including speed-sensitive volume control.

This car is in all original condition including the original tires. Purchased new in Louisiana and relocated to Ohio, this Prowler comes with all the original accessories - two keys and fobs, window sticker, books, sales brochure, and Prowler soundtrack CD.

This is a great collectible driver and just in time for spring!

Check out this great read on the history of the all-aluminum Prowler and how and why it came into existence:

1962 Porsche 356B 1600 S Cabriolet T6 - Incredibly well-documented example with original motor and transmission. Produced 6-27-1962, this cabriolet was originally outfitted in Champagne Yellow with black leather interior. In 1987 the car was repainted to the current red color. The original motor #702956 is still in the car, and in 1999 was treated to a complete refresh by noted specialist Sports Car Factory of Thompson, Ohio. The mileage at the time was 136,900. This car has extensive service and ownership history dating back to 1970, and has been in Ohio in the hands of a single owner from 1981 until just last year. While the mileage is recorded consistently in the receipts, and we believe it to be original, the vehicle title shows non-actual mileage. It appears that the car crossed the 100k mark early on in its life, but then was only driven an average of 1k miles per year from 1980-current. In addition to the stack of service records included are the Certificate of Authenticity, verifying the matching numbers, the original Owner's Handbook and Service Manual, and the original Driver's Manual. Cosmetic condition is good to excellent inside and out, with no rust or corrosion issues. Mechanically the car is completely sorted, which is no surprise given the impeccable maintenance schedule of the previous owner. The car drives incredibly well, and to our knowledge needs nothing to go enjoy. www.switchcars.com

This is a great opportunity for a matching-numbers 356 SC for the buyer who wants a mechanically fresh car to enjoy and drive. The SC for 1964 came with a 90-hp 1600cc motor with dual Solex carbs.

The car has come to us from its most recent owner of 13 years. It left the factory in Signal Red, but was refinished to the owner's taste about 10 years ago in its current color. The car also had comprehensive rust repair and undercoating performed at the time of the repaint, including a new driver's side floor pan. The color is beautiful, but the paint job is best described as driver quality and does show some flaws.

The owner did most of the maintenance himself, and the receipts include a large stack of Stoddard parts receipts to verify his work. In addition, he had the motor rebuilt less than 100 miles ago by German Tech, Inc., in January of 2016. The receipt for this service is in the documents section on our website. Additional service done to the car over his 13-year care included a new clutch and flywheel, new Sachs front and rear shocks, complete rebuild of the Solex carbs, rebuilt distributor, H4 headlights with upgraded dash lights, new fuel sender, fuel pump, and fuel cock, refurbished horns, new hood seal and window weather stripping, new window washing jets and tubing, window frames rechromed, new rear view mirror, new carpet set, side and rear panels, headliner, and visors, and all gauges rebuilt along with a quartz clock conversion performed by North Hollywood Speedometer.

The engine and transmission are all matching numbers as verified by the Certificate of Authenticity, and the car is listed in the 356 Registry. The actual mileage is unknown. Clear title in hand - buyers are welcome to have a PPI performed at a shop of their choice.
