We are pleased to offer a fully documented one-owner example of a 1987 911 coupe; the first year with the desirable G50 5-speed transmission, which was a marked improvement over the previous year's 915 gearbox.

This car is essentially a one-owner car with complete documentation since new. The car was originally purchased in July of 1987 with 823 miles on the clock. A copy of the original title application, odometer statement, and title are included with the paperwork. The same owner had the car until July of 2015, when he traded it in to the same Porsche dealer who had been servicing the car for over two decades. It was traded to another Porsche dealer with the intention of keeping it in their private collection, but we ended up wrangling the car out of their hands and are now pleased to offer it for sale.

We have every single service receipt since new, documenting both the mileage and the single owner. In the last 12k miles the car had a complete engine and transmission reseal, major service including new distributor cap and rotor, new spark plugs, accessory belts, washer pump, fuel filter, and more. The A/C system was also serviced and a new blower and switch installed. The calipers have been rebuilt and new front rotors and pads installed. Shifter bushings and C/V boots were also replaced. The car has brand new BFGoodrich G-Force tires on all four corners. In short, the car is fully up-to-date on service, free of all leaks, and has a fresh compression readout of 180-185 psi on all cylinders.

The car presents beautifully in the Diamond Blue Metallic paint with the Marine Blue interior. The car is accident free and has a clean Carfax, and the paint shows very well. All VIN tags and factory stickers are present, indicating no panel replacement. The interior is clean and displays normal wear, the most being on the driver's floormat which could stand to be replaced. We just had the front seats recovered in OEM factory material. We also had the black Fuchs refinished and polished the lips - they look brand new.

The car is largely complete with both keys, all books including a fully stamped service booklet, original spare tire and jack, and service records since day one. This is a fantastic example that is ready for a new owner to drive and enjoy.

Sold new here in Ohio, owned and serviced locally, this Black/black 1987 911 Targa comes for sale from its owner of over 20 years. It is in original and un-modified condition, right down to the Blaupunkt head unit and original door and rear deck speakers. The service booklet is stamped with services done at the Porsche dealer up through 1992, and paper receipts are included through present day.
The 1987 is the first year of the much-improved and very desirable G50 transmission, which was a stronger gearbox with shorter throws and crisper shifts than the 915 which it replaced.
This particular car is finished in Black with black interior, and is very clean inside and out. The exterior paint is all original sans the driver's front fender, which was refinished for a small repair next to the headlight trim ring. Paintmeter readings confirm consistent factory thicknesses on all other panels, and all original factory stickers and VIN tags are present, including the underhood option sticker. Factory options include front and rear spoilers and the somewhat rare limited slip differential.
The interior is very clean with only minimal wear consistent with the 54k original miles. The dash is straight with no cracks or warping, and the seats are firm and the leather supple with no tears and only minor wear on the driver's outside bolster.
The car starts, drives, and shifts smoothly with no drama, and the A/C blows cold having just been recharged. The tires have good tread but could be replaced due to age. The Fuchs wheels have recently refinished centers, and the outer rim has a chrome plating which looks good but is starting to show pitting. The underside of the car is dry with no leaks, and free of any corrosion. The previous owner used it as a sunny-day summer driver, and claims that in his 20+ year ownership of the car, he is pretty sure it never saw rain.
Overall, this is is a very solid example that's about as original as they come, with the only departures from original being a Clifford, umm, 'period-correct' alarm system, and the chrome-plated outer rims. It is up-to-date on service and ready for the new owner to enjoy. Original books, stamped warranty/maintenance booklet, keys, complete tool roll, spare tire, and jack are included with the car.

Factory Options:
018 Sport steering wheel with elevated hub
158 Blaupunkt Reno SQR46 Radio
220 Locking differential
395 16x6 and 16x7 Fuchs Forged Alloy Wheels
473 Front and Rear Spoiler

We recently acquired this collector-grade G50 911 coupe from its long term owner. He was the second owner and it has been in his care since 1989.

It is original in almost every aspect, from motor and gearbox to Blaupunkt radio to paint (the two exceptions being a paint repair on the rear bumper and a small spot of paintwork on the front hood around the Porsche crest).

After purchase, we had an extensive mechanical freshening performed by Steinel's Autowerks, a renowned Porsche specialist, at an expense of over $7k. Additionally, we had a comprehensive 12+ hour detailing to restore the car to its original glory.

The car is complete with two sets of keys, all manuals including stamped service book, purchase and service receipts, spare tire, tools, jack, and air compressor.

1987 Porsche 930 in not-Guards-Red - finished in striking Black with Black leather interior and rare factory sport seats. Matching-numbers example as confirmed by the included Certificate of Authenticity. The mileage is corroborated by the Carfax report and it is a clean title vehicle. Some prior paintwork has been performed.

The car is mechanically sound and has had a complete engine rebuild and transmission reseal performed less than 1k miles ago, and a recent leakdown test (2017) shows a healthy motor with all cylinders at 5% or less. Underside photos in the gallery show the vehicle as very clean and free of any hints of prior winter driving. The car is mostly stock, including the original Blaupunkt radio, yet it benefits from a few tasteful improvements like 17-inch Fuchs-style wheels with fat 315-width tires on the rear which give it some much needed extra grip. It also has a 930 S steering wheel.

The car comes with a host of original accessories, including two keys, original books, Certificate of Authenticity, Porsche car cover, complete tool roll, air compressor, and an original sales brochure for the Turbo Carrera.

1987 Porsche 930 Slantnose - Exceptional condition car, factory 505 option slantnose. Good service history including a full engine teardown and rebuild in 2005 by a local Porsche specialty shop Steinel's Autowerks - receipts for this work, including photos, are included in a binder. Just had a concours level detail, including dry-ice blasting the chassis of the car, at a total expense of around $3k. This is probably the cleanest, best looking car you will find out there. The pictures do not exaggerate how clean the car is, but rather they portray it correctly - the car speaks for itself. Good service history on the car with receipts dating from 1997 through 2005, and the service book stamped from 1987 through 1994. All original books, spare tire, and complete tool kit are included with the car. The factory Blaupunkt radio along with some other original parts, including the intercooler, are also included with the car. The stock wheels, brakes, and turbo are not included. Upgrades include: Kinesis 3-piece wheels with BRAND new tires 993 Brakes K29 turbo Powerhaus Billet Oil Return Scavenge Pump Powerhaus Stainless Steel Headers Powerhaus Stainless Steel muffler Poewrhaus Standard Fit Intercooler 930-S 1.0 bar Wastegate Spring Lowering Springs This is not a comprehensive list of upgrades, as the receipts we have for the car, while extensive, are not 100% complete. We are going off of observed upgrades and the receipts we do have. The car has a dyno sheet showing just over 300hp to the rear wheels. This car is awesome, both as a looker and as a driver. The motor is a correct Porsche factory replacement, but the gearbox is original and matches the CofA. The car is all original paint with the exception of the front hood, bumper, and driver's door, according to our paintmeter. It shows EXTREMELY well with the recent detail, and the paint is mirror quality. Factory options as listed on the Certificate of Authenticity: California Emission Limited Slip Differential Sport Seats with Electrical Height Adjustment Power Tilting/Detachable Sunroof Slant Nose Body www.switchcars.com

The late 1980s were banner years for the Porsche 911.  These cars retained the classic look with the desirable combination of the 3.2L flat-6 paired with the famous short-shifting G50 transmission.  These 911s offered the largest engine displacement and brake size of any normally aspirated G-body 911 to date.  The 3.2 liter has proven to be very reliable and a strong runner thanks to upgrades to the timing chain tensioners, oil cooling, fuel system and ignition system (just to name a few).  The targa option offers the best of both worlds: a semi-open experience, and a closed car when you are not feeling the need for the open top.

This 911 is offered in the rare and interesting color of Cassis Red that is pleasantly complimented by its burgundy interior.  This combination is an eye catcher in the best of ways. The tasteful upgrades produce a nice package that can satisfy the customer looking for a mainly original car with a touch of outlaw. This 911 has a clean Carfax verifying its accident-free history, and is in excellent condition inside and out. Extensive service history shows that this car has been loved and maintained to a high standard. The underside is completely dry, and with new Continental rubber on the attractive 17inch Lindsey Racing wheels, this Targa is ready to drive!

Highlights:

  • Cassis Red over Burgundy
  • Rebuilt and freshened targa roof with new front and rear seals
  • Side windows were aligned with new retaining brackets
  • Recent compression check/leakdown
  • New Bilstein struts/shocks, turbo tie rods, Weltmeister steering rack spacer and alignment
  • Color-matched Momo Prototipo steering wheel (factory wheel included)
  • Classy Lindsey Racing wheels in polished finish (Built from an original set of Fuchs wheels - factory wheels NOT included)
  • Blaupunkt Monte Carlo radio (original is included)
  • M&K GT3 style center-exit exhaust (Original is included)
  • Incredible documentation and service history
  • Original Window Sticker and Certificate of Authenticity
