The 993 Carrera S is special in a number of ways, not the least for being the last and, subjectively, the best of the air-cooled Porsche models, with a complete redesign and new 3.6L motor, along with being the first 6-speed manual 911 and the last handbuilt car. Only 1752 C2S models were produced, and other than special edition models, it was the only normally-aspirated RWD widebody car, making it a very rare and desirable combination. Weighing in at under 3100 pounds, this car is lighter than a new GT3, and as a result handles incredibly well.

This particular car is finished in Arctic Silver Metallic with Midnight Blue interior, and is very clean inside and out. We put the car through a comprehensive detail, and also had it inspected thoroughly and serviced by a local Porsche specialty shop. I've personally put a few hundred miles on this car since taking it in, and it is an absolute joy to drive, and one of my favorites of all time, including the newer GT3s. All power options work and the A/C blows cold. Handling and steering is tight and crisp, and the car tracks straight. The car has no deferred maintenance and is up-to-date on service and ready for the new owner to drive and enjoy. It comes with all books, tools, jack, and original spare tire.

Black over Black Porsche 993 C4S with some very tasteful upgrades. The C4S was the pinnacle of the naturally aspirated air cooled cars, with the 3.6L Mezger motor, widebody rear end, and larger Turbo brakes. This car has some additional upgrades which make it a pleasure to drive, including a complete manifold-back Fabspeed exhaust system with hi-flow cats (smog legal in California!), Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, stiffer swaybars, and HRE aluminum wheels. The interior has an upgraded sound system with Kenwood DVD screen as well as carbon-fiber added trim pieces and Porsche Carrera 4 aluminum door sill plates (not originall optioned from the factory - added afterwards). 

Shortly before our purchase the car was treated to new brake rotors and pads and new Michelin tires. In preparation for sale we had the car given a thorough mechanical checkover by Steinel's Autowerks and had the secondary air injection system cleaned and serviced. The receipt for this major service is in PDF format on the Documents section of our website. 

Mechanically this car is in turn-key condition and it is a straight car with no underside corrosion and factory Cosmoline still present. Cosmetically it is a good driver quality, as it does have some wear consistent with the mileage. The car has a clean Carfax and no history of accidents but it has been repainted in its original color.

This is an excellent driver's car for somebody who wants to experience the C4S at a lower price point than a concours level garage queen. Buy, drive, and enjoy the upgraded handling and fantastic sound from the Fabspeed setup!

The 1997 Porsche 993 Carrera S is a remarkable vehicle that underwent a comprehensive four-year custom rebuild. This stunning car features a Black exterior and black leather interior. The rebuild spared no expense and included a full glass-out repaint in its original color. Notable upgrades were made to the drivetrain, with renowned engine builder Rothsport overhauling it and punching it out to a whopping 4.0L displacement, along with a custom 6-speed manual RS transmission. The suspension received a major overhaul with a full ERP suspension package, including OEM RS components. Inside, the car boasts an RS-style interior with OEM Porsche Sport Seats upholstered in Nappa leather.

The goal of the rebuild was to create the ultimate naturally aspirated 993, drawing inspiration from the modern 911R and utilizing as many original Carrera RS parts as possible. The collaboration of Rothsport and Rstrada resulted in a high standard of customization, totaling over $230k in upgrades.

The exterior of the car received a glass-out refinishing its original Black color, and various modifications were made, including the addition of Turbo S fog lights and European amber corner lights. The paint is in pristine condition, as evidenced in the detailed photos. It is an accident-free car confirmed by Carfax. 

Under the hood, the original 3.6L flat-six Varioram engine was replaced with a powerful 4.0L unit built and tuned by Rothsport. The engine incorporates custom components, including pistons, cylinders, and camshafts, resulting in an impressive output of up to 400 HP. The custom exhaust system adds to the performance enhancements.

The suspension received a major upgrade with the ERP total package, featuring adjustable coilovers and various OEM Carrera RS parts. The ride height was adjusted to factory Carrera RS specifications. Pastel Yellow 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 2 6-speed manual with 83k miles. 3.6L flat-6 engine paired with the manual transmission. As mentioned above the exterior paint is finished in Pastel Yellow over Black partial leather interior. The Carfax shows only 4 owners and there are lots of service receipts dating back to when the car was new, as it was owned locally and primarily serviced at marque specialist Steinels Autowerks. This car was optioned with power seats, motor sound package, cruise control, 17-inch Cup wheels, and stainless steel oval exhaust tips. The car is mostly stock but it now has 18-inch twist wheels painted black, Guards Red seat belts, 3 spoke steering wheel, and Bilstein shocks.

The Carfax is clean with no accidents but the paint meter readings show some signs of paintwork. The exterior is in good condition for the age and mileage but is not perfect. The wheels have some scuffs and there are a couple of scratches. The interior shows well and has onevery small tear in the driver seat. Overall this 993 is a great driver-quality car that has lots of service history. The top end of the engine was gone through in 2004 around 49k miles, receipt is available upon request. It was just serviced on 6/30/2022 with an oil change, brake fluid flush, and battery replacement. The car will come with the service records, 2 keys, and owners manual.

1997 Porsche 993 Turbo S - Glacier White over Beige interior. The Turbo S was truly the holy grail model of all the road going 993s, and the last hurrah of all the air-cooled cars. This particular example is a very clean two-owner car with less than 7500 original miles. The current owner purchased it in 2011 from the first owner with just over 4k miles at the time. The car is completely original and unmolested. The Escort passport system seen in the photos is easily removable. The car has all original paint on all metal panels as verified with a paintmeter. The car has a clean history with no damage repair. It's been lovingly cared-for, driven occasionally, and stored properly. The exterior paint is fundamentally perfect. The original finish on the wheels is very clean with only a couple marks on two of the wheels as noted in pictures. The interior has a few very small blemishes, the most notable one being a crack in the epoxy finish of the carbon steering wheel, which is a very common issue. The underside is clean with the original Cosmoline still visible. The car is complete with original window sticker, original underhood option code sticker, spare, jack, toolkit (which has NEVER been opened), air compressor, and books.
